It seems we are living in a time when stress and anxiety are rampant.  Marriages, children, the economy, drugs and crime seem to keep us in a constant state of worry. This is not what God has for us.  You and I were not meant to burn out or break under the pressures of this world and its expectations.  We were not built to hustle ourselves into exhaustion.  

God calls us to build rhythms of rest into our lifestyles.  We were not called to be a workhorse. God himself rested, and he told us that we should also.  Don't you know that Jesus will take the weight of our worries every time we bring them to him. Will we leave them there?  Sweet friend, he tenderly cares for you and I, and he will love us to life again in his presence.  Trust him to do what you could not on your own. There is refreshment for your soul, here and now.
