I love to laugh!  When my sister and I get together we laugh a lot!  We remember all the things that happened while we were growing up and the mischief we got into.  We even laugh at ourselves today at the silly things we do as older women. I have always loved the above scripture about a merry heart makes good like a medicine.  In my growing up days there was always music and laughter in our home.  Even though it was not always easy or fun.

They say that laughter can increase Oxygen to the Heart, Lungs, and Muscles.  It also releases Endorphins. Research study on Endorphins shows that laughter keeps you healthy by improving your mood and reducing pain.

Psalm 126:1-3 says, “When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.  Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.  Then it was said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them.  The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

If you feel like a dark cloud has been hanging over your head, begin giving thanks to the Lord.  The Lord has done great things for us!  2000 years ago He set us free when Jesus hung on the cross and rose from the dead. Let’s fill our mouths with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy!
