Release Mercy
By Cheryl Henderson
The word Mercy means, compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm.
An event to be grateful for, especially because its occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering.
It seems to me that in this crazy time in which we live, we Christians should be extending mercy to others. The world we live in is cruel, condemning, and just writes people off.
That is not how our Father is. Just remember what He has done for you! I know I would not even be here if it were not for God's mercy in my life.
I have listed a couple of things we can do to show mercy to others.
. Sow kindness. Be slow to criticize and quick to forgive.
. Give love out freely today. "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
. What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.
What you sow today determines your harvest tomorrow.
. The greatest gift love produces is a nonjudgmental climate.
Allow the compassion and the mercy of God to flow through you to a hurting world.
