Happy Birthday!
By Cheryl Henderson
Well, today is a special day for me. It is my 73rd birthday!
Wow! Most people, especially women, don't want people to know how old they are. I really don't care. I feel very young. In my mind, I still feel in my forties or maybe even younger. It is not until I look in the mirror that reality hits me and it is obvious that I am not in my forties.
In John 3 Nicodemus comes to Jesus and begins to tell him that no one could do the things that Jesus did unless God was with him. Jesus replies with the statement that unless a man is born again he cannot even see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus is confused and replies, how does that happen? Can a man re enter his mother's womb?
Nicodemus was thinking and talking in the natural while Jesus was talking in the spirit. However, Nicodemus does become born again. And reveals himself as a believer. John 19:39
This past weekend New Life served as Chaplains to a group of businessmen and women. At the altar on Sunday many of them came forward to get born again, rededicate their lives to the Lord, receive healing and just to pray.
It was a sweet time and those who gave their hearts to Jesus were born again. Their names were written in the lambs book for life. All of Heaven rejoiced!
You see, if you are not born again, you can't even see the Kingdom, God wants you to see His glory, His presence, His promises, and catch a glimpse of Heaven.
As I write this devotional I am praying for you, the reader of this devotional. I pray for your eyes to be opened. I pray for salvation, healing, strength, peace forgiveness, and love.
If per chance you are not sure you are born again please turn to Romans 10:9 read it, confess it, and ask Jesus into your heart. It will be settled once and for all.
And today will be your Birthday too! Happy Birthday!
