God Has The Best Plan

I just returned home from a business meeting where New Life Network was there serving as Chaplains. It was a fabulous meeting and our Sunday Service was incredible!
During the weekend almost every speaker was talking about knowing who you are in Christ and that He had a great plan for each of them.
I do believe that. However, we all seem to hold on to our own way too much of the time. Jacob's name means "supplanter." When Jacob came to the end of his plans, God had a better plan. I think we are slow to see that there is a better way. In a Devotional by Smith Wigglesworth he says, "The glory is never so wonderful as when we realize our helplessness, throw down our sword, and
surrender our authority to God."
God has plans for us that we cannot even begin to imagine. He really has a plan for every individual life. Can you believe it?
Jacob and his mother had a plan to secure the birthright and the blessing, but God planned the ladder and the angels. (Genesis 28:2)
Jacob had a dream where he saw God and heard him say, "The land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants" verse 13 He also heard God say, "I am with you and I will keep you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you." verse 15
"There is a good; there is a better; but God has a best, a higher standard for us than we have yet attained. It is a better thing if it is God's Plan and not ours." Smith Wigglesworth
